Hobbes's Muffins

Plain muffins, one dozen.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup flour (all purpose)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl, then form a well in the center of the mixture
  2. Add the milk and oil together, and beat in the egg
  3. Put the milk oil and egg into the well in the flour mixture and beat it in until combined (don't over mix it)
  4. Place a spoonfull of the dough into a well greased cupcake pan
  5. Bake the muffins for 15 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees
  6. Cool the muffins for 5 minutes before serving
