This versatile “curried” spice blend will add a hint of Indian flavor to almost anything (and especially chicken dishes). You can make large batches in advance and sprinkle it into dishes — or use it in recipes like tikka masala.

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp. coriander
  • 4 tbsp. cumin
  • 4 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 4 tbsp. red chili powder
  • 4 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. crushed mint
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper

Directions

  1. Mix everything together, and you’re good to go. It goes without saying that it’ll taste much better if you use fresh spices — particularly the coriander, cumin, and mint — in conjunction with a mortar and pestle, but it’s not really necessary.
