Yummy Chocolate Bundt Cake

This is an excellant, moist cake. It needs no frosting – just a dusting of powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

  1. Stir together flour, baking powder, cocoa, and salt. Set aside
  2. In large bowl, cream butter, shortening, sugar, and vanilla till fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well
  4. Add flour mixture alternately with milk and mix well
  5. Pour into greased/floured pan
  6. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 70 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes in pan then turn onto wire rack.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Try not to eat the entire cake by yourself in one sitting.
