Sweet Citrus Grilled Fish

Seasoning amounts are approximate – adjust to taste. Fillets can be used instead of steaks, but be sure to skin them first.

Serve with Mango Plantain Chutney.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of one orange
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh nutmeg, ground
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-2 pounds of swordfish, tuna, or salmon steaks

Directions

  1. Whisk all ingredients except fish together in small bowl.
  2. Marinate fish in mixture (covered, in refrigerator) for at least half an hour, preferably 2 to 4 hours.
  3. Grill fish.
